I am using Skype for Business for Mac 16.7.175 with Outlook 2016 for Mac 15.34 (170515). I have a couple of issues: 1. Calendar status does not automatically update in Skype for Business for Mac. This is with both Skype and Outlook open. When I try to create an online meeting I get 'The Outlook and Skype for Business (Lync) user accounts do not match. Lync Server 2013 customers should consider upgrading their installation to Skype for Business Server 2015, or downloading the latest Lync Server 2013 Cumulative Update version 8308.974 or higher. Because he just got a new PC with Office 2016, he is prompted to download and install 'LWAPlugin64BitInstaller32.msi', but the installation fails with the error that it can't find the correct.msi for 'Skype For Business Web Plug-In', which would be 'SkypeForBusinessPlugin.msi'. It's this old dialogue (just had to use Google, because I missed to take a screenshot; Ignore the red marking and filename as this is just to show you which error I'm talking abotu): The real problem is, that I can't find a single darn place to download 'SkypeForBusinessPlugin.msi' as the only site Google shows me on the first pages looks suspicious from the URL given. All MS help sites for Office/Skype For Business/Lync lead to no help at all and especially no download links. I had some strange problems with Skype and Office 2016, too. The solution was easy: Office 2016 (Professional Plus in my case) installed its own Skype for Business software, which block the execution of the 'SkypeForBusinessPlugin.msi' When you open 'Apps & Features' and choose 'Modify', you should see 'Skype for Business' in the list. Okay, here's the solution: • Make sure the user concerned has admin rights (just for this installation, you can revoke the rights afterwards) and is logged in as the Lync plugin can't be installed for every user at once. • Install 'SkypeMeetingsApp.msi', which you can get from this test meeting by clicking on the link in step 1: • Visit and run the Fix It tool by Microsoft (therefore you need admin rights for the user). • Now I don't know the exact english terminology, because I'm german, but choose 'Installation [.]' (should be the upper choice) • Wait for the Fix It tool to finish scanning for installed software • Select 'Skype For Business Web-App' or 'Skype For Business Web App Plugin' (I don't know the exact name anymore) • Choose 'Yes, try uninstalling' and wait for it to finish, then close the Fix It tool • Now try installing the Lync Web App Plugin again, which should now work just fine. • OPTIONAL: In Firefox press CTRL+SHIFT+A to open Add-Ons, go to Plugins and set 'Microsoft Lync Web App Plug-in' to 'always activate', so that your user saves some clicks.
